### Cleaning and Maintenance of Firefighter Hoods

– Please keep the firefighter hood clean and maintain it according to the labels and instructions from the manufacturer.
– If the firefighter hood becomes contaminated or comes into contact with blood or bodily fluids, asphalt, fuel, resin, acidic liquids, by-products of fuel, or other harmful substances, please clean it immediately. Do not wear a hood that has not been thoroughly cleaned. If the hood cannot be properly cleaned, stop using it and dispose of it.
– Do not soak for more than 20 minutes.

The firefighter hood should be cleaned using a gentle wash cycle with regular detergent and water not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.

– Do not use bleach or detergents containing chlorine. Chlorine bleach will weaken the protective capabilities of the hood’s fabric.
– The hood must be ironed at a low temperature (110 degrees).
– Do not dry clean.
– Do not use a dryer.

– Do not wring out the firefighter hood; remove excess water by pressing.
– Lay the firefighter hood flat in a cool, shaded area to air dry. Do not store the hood in direct sunlight. Check the hood before and after each arrival at a fire scene or training. Stop using and discard any damaged hoods.
– If there is any change in the appearance of the material, immediately submit it to a supervisor to assess whether the hood’s protective strength has been compromised. If any issues with appearance or characteristics are noted, be vigilant and discontinue use of the hood.
– Do not remove the labels from the hood. Do not take this user manual away from the user.

### How to Store

Storing the firefighter hood in direct sunlight, ultraviolet light, or fluorescent light can lead to fading and reduced effectiveness. Do not hang the hood on hooks in vehicles or inside the station, as sunlight may shine on it through windows. The hood should be stored in a locker or an opaque bag, or it can be covered with dark fabric.
